Signal block for PIKO SONNEBERG model railroad layouts. Comes in a box. Two instruction manuals are included inside. One provides detailed instructions for the Signal Block 5/50, Item No. 5140/5/19. The manual is in German, marked: SiG 1/66 20 V-17-17 1915.
Signal block for standard-gauge track, an early version manufactured by PIKO, made in 1:87 scale. The device can function as a standalone semaphore, displaying green, red, and yellow lights (later editions used only red and green signals). By connecting several such signal blocks, it is possible to create a simple automatic traffic control system. A passing train activates the corresponding signal on the next or previous block, which allows subsequent trains to be stopped or started. In later versions, components such as the contact track and the cut-off track were available as separate modules.
